EVANGELISM & CHURCH PLANTING

India's first major civilization dates back to around 2,500 B.C. Christianity has been prevalent in India since the first century. India came under British rule in early 19th century and got its independence from the British Empire in 1947.

As you are browsing through this website, the population of India is reaching one billion and experts predict that very soon India will cross China's population and become the most populous country in the world.  Of this massive number of people, less than half the nation is evangelized and the percentage of Christians lingers between 3% to 5%. Vast number of people groups are unreached and have never heard the name of Jesus. The main commitment of the Mission For The Interior is to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to plant churches.  Since 1976 Mission For The Interior is going forward carrying out this great commission.

Currently with the help of 60 full time missionary evangelists, evangelism and church planting ministry is going on mainly in India and also in four different countries.  In India alone 220 churches have been planted. US$ 50 per month can support a village missionary and his family to live among the people, share the gospel and plant Churches.  We have a great need of supporters for village missionaries.

When a Church is planted the mission provides assistance in building the physical structure. There are three types of Church buildings we help build.  The first type costs US$ 5,000, second type costs US$ 8,000, third type costs US$ 15,000.
